Chris Loera
Head Instructor
Chris Loera is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Stefan Goyen of Bay Jiu Jitsu and the co-owner and head instructor at Logic Jiu Jitsu in Sacramento, California. With over 20 years of experience in wrestling, judo, sambo, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, he brings a deep, competition-tested understanding of the art and how to teach it in a way that makes sense for everyone.
Chris has competed at the highest levels of the sport, earning medals at IBJJF Worlds, winning multiple Gi and No-Gi titles, and competing on professional stages such as Fight 2 Win and Submission Pro Tour. But what matters most to him is helping students grow on and off the mats.
He began his martial arts journey through wrestling in Southern California before transitioning into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2004. That path eventually led him to build Logic Jiu Jitsu an academy in Sacramento focused on strong fundamentals, technical growth, and a supportive community.
At Logic Jiu Jitsu, Chris teaches Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for adults and kids, helping students of all levels build confidence, improve fitness, and develop real-world self-defense skills. Whether someone is stepping on the mats for the first time or preparing for competition, his approach is centered on meeting students where they’re at and helping them improve with purpose.
Kelvin Martinez
Instructor
Kelvin Martinez is one of the dedicated owners and coaches at Logic Jiu Jitsu. Training for over six years, Kelvin has passionately coached people of many backgrounds in the sport, bringing a wealth of experience to the mats. As a high school teacher during the day, Kelvin is known for a methodical approach to coaching, excelling in breaking down complex techniques and connecting with individuals on a personal level.
In addition to coaching all levels, Kelvin has worked with a variety of people one on one, guiding students to overcome various obstacles and lead them to victory from the practice room all the way to competition. This hands-on, personalized training style has helped many athletes achieve their goals and surpass any expectations they previously had.
Kelvin’s commitment to teaching and coaching reflects a deep understanding of both the art of Jiu Jitsu and the science of education, making him a valued member of the Logic Jiu Jitsu community.
