Do I need experience to join a class?
Not at all. Our beginner-friendly classes in Land Park, Sacramento are designed to help you ease into Jiu Jitsu at your own pace.

What should I expect in my first class?
You’ll start with a warm-up, learn basic movements and techniques, and practice with a partner in a controlled and supportive setting at our Sacramento Jiu Jitsu academy.
Do I need a Gi (uniform)?
No. For your first class, comfortable workout clothes are perfect. (No Pockets) If you attend a Gi class at our Land Park location, we’ll have one available for you to borrow during your trial.
How do I prepare for class?
- Stay hydrated
- Keep nails trimmed
- Remove all jewelry before training

What is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ)?
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art focused on grappling, ground control, and submissions. At our Sacramento Jiu Jitsu academy, we teach students how to use technique and leverage over strength.
Do I need to be in shape before I start?
Not at all. Many people start Jiu Jitsu to get in shape. You’ll naturally build strength, flexibility, and cardio as you train.
Is Jiu Jitsu safe?
Yes. Safety is our top priority. We emphasize control, respect, proper technique, and communication. Coaches closely supervise every class.
Do you offer classes for kids?
Yes. We offer programs for:
- Ages 3–5
- Ages 6–8
- Ages 9–13
Kids learn self-defense, discipline, confidence, and teamwork in a fun and safe environment.
How often should I train?
Beginners typically start with 2–3 classes per week. As you progress, 3–5 times per week is common. Consistency is key.
What do you offer?
We offer Jiu Jitsu, Strength & Conditioning Training (3x per week each), and Logic 45, a workout class designed for adults 45 and older, to help you build strength, improve mobility, and stay healthy long-term.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes. New students can take advantage of a 3-day free trial to see if it’s a good fit before joining.
